story

This eleven minute short film stars Peter Polycarpou (Birds Of A Feather, Evita, De-Lovely) as Mad George, a mini-cab driver and George Jackos (One Last Chance, Indiana Jones) as Paul, a well-known actor. It tells the story of one man's revenge and another's guilt. The two Cypriot characters are in the same cab again after three years and this sparks off memories for both of them. For George having Paul in his cab again is an important reminder of his failed marriage. For Paul travelling with this "crazy Greek bastard" again, is a risk he'd rather not have taken, but the cab is already half an hour late and he can't get another.

Through flash-back and reminiscences the character driven plot revolves around what has happened to both of them since they were last together. Zena (Sarah Wateridge - The New Adventures Of Robin Hood) is seeing an accountant (Ben Keaton - Holby City) and George doesn't want the accountant around his kids. What he does to keep him away is why he is called Mad George. Paul has left Sandra (Alison Pargeter - Calendar Girls) after lying to her just once too many times and being in the car with George reminds him of his failed marriage and the day mad george drove him to, "the biggest audition of my career!"

It's an olive coloured comedy where two worlds collide for the second time in three years. Neither can escape the journey they are both on though both would like to.
