I
began my career at The Unicorn Theatre For Children as Sadko in a childrens'
opera called SADKO AND THE FISH WITH FINS OF GOLD. Since then I toured
extensively and worked in many regional repertory theatres throughout
the UK. Shows include GREASE, THE FRONT PAGE, SNOOPY,
ONE
NIGHT STAND, SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, ANTHONY
AND CLEOPATRA (twice), THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, COMIC CUTS.
I
was an original member of the LES MISERABLES company at The Barbican
Theatre in 1985 and took over the roles of Grantaire and Thenadier at
The Palace Theatre.
In
1987 I spent two years at the RSC playing Aaron in Deborah Warner's TITUS
ANDRONICUS, both in Stratford and London. We also did a European tour
of this double Olivier award winning production. Other RSC work included
THE JEW OF MALTA (Calymath), A QUESTION OF GEOGRAPHY (Micha) and THE
NEW INN by Ben Johnson.
I created the role of John in the blockbuster musical MISS SAIGON at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 1989.

I played The Phantom in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Her Majesties Theatre in 1991. I starred alongside Jessica Martin and David Willetts in a new musical called LONELY HEARTS which premiered at The Old Fire Station in 1995.
I
played Vernon in THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG, Bill Cracker in THE HAPPY END and
Emile De Beque in SOUTH PACIFIC at various London Theatres.
I also starred in the British premiere of David Mamets' play THE WOODS at
The Finborough Theatre directed by Robert Shaw.
Over the last few years I have been busy. I did a workshop at The National Theatre studio of a new work by Ray Davies of The Kinks. It had the working title of COME DANCING. I did a TV series for BBC1 called AMERICAN VOICES and an episode of HOLBY CITY and CASUALTY. I also did some bible stories for radio, again for the BBC and performed in the RSCs' production of THE SECRET GARDEN playing alongside Philip Quarst at The Aldwych Theatre in Londons West End. I did a series for Sky TV called MILE HIGH which gets repeated on Sky TV occasionally. I spent almost six months in CATS until I broke my ankle! I played Arturo Ui at The Bridwell IN THE RESISTIBLE RISE OF ARTURO UI and Oscar Madison in THE ODD COUPLE in Manchester.
I
was in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
until March 2002 playing The Childcatcher.

I played alongside Kevin Kline, in a new film about the life of Cole Porter called DE-LOVELY. I played movie mogul legend Louis B Mayer who was so hated in the business that Sam Goldwyn, his ex-partner, (when asked why so many people turned up for his funeral said), "Well, people just really wanted to be sure he was dead!"
In 1996 I played the role of Domingo Mercante in the movie of Evita with Madonna and Jonathan Pryce. For a fuller view of my film work go to The Internet Movie Database at
I am very committed to the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust and I'm an active fund raiser also trying to get more people from the ethnic minorities signed onto the register of possible bone marrow donors. I ran in The London Marathon in 1996 and finished in 5 hours and thirteen minutes on behalf of the Charity. The last marathon i finished was two years ago and got round in a time of 4 hours and 40 minutes. I opened an employment agency on behalf of The Camden Society and The Access To Employment Agency. This almost unique agency in Woolich is within the voluntary sector and provides an employment service to people with learning disabilities.
Over the last few years I have worked in film, theatre and television and you can see the MORE RECENT WORK HERE . I have also taught several workshops and you can find out about my work in SCHOOLS HERE.
My television work includes the highly sucessful SUNBURN on BBCTV, HOLBY CITY , CAPITOL CITY (ITV), RICH TEA AND SYMPATHY (GRANADA), THE PROFESSIONALS (CARLTON), JUPITER MOON for BSB as was. THE BILL, CASUALTY, NOAH AND THE ARK (BBC), PLANESPOTTING (GRANADA), WAKING THE DEAD (BBCTV) and a new pilot called BUBBLES and much much more!! More recently I have appeared alongside Phil Daniels as Yiannis Pappas in EastEnders. A new movie called O Jerrusalem is due to be released later this year in which I play a leading role.

A major musical Imagine This in which I play one of the leading roles, is due in the New Year at The Savoy. I recorded a Holby City which comes out in April and over the last year I have been in three new works Silver Birch House, Last Easter and Artefacts. See my recent work here as well. |
